Revitalize Your Day with Homemade Citrus Infused Vitamin Water

Standard

Hi beautiful people!

In our fast-paced lives, staying hydrated and nourished is essential. Why not upgrade your daily hydration with a homemade vitamin water infused with citrusy goodness and essential nutrients? In this blog post, we’ll guide you through the creation of a revitalizing vitamin water using ingredients like citric acid, lemon, lime, NAC powder, magnesium, and mullen leaf.

The Ingredients: A Nutrient-Rich Symphony

  1. Citric Acid: The Natural Flavor Booster

Citric acid not only enhances the flavor of your vitamin water but also provides a touch of acidity, making it refreshing and thirst-quenching. The one that I recommend has no taste and can be mixed with anything.

  1. Lemon and Lime: The Zesty Duo

Lemons and limes are rich in vitamin C, which boosts your immune system and adds a zesty, citrusy flavor to your water.

  1. NAC Powder: N-Acetyl Cysteine

NAC is known for its antioxidant properties and potential health benefits. It can help in detoxifying the body and supporting respiratory health.

The one that I use has an added flavor because NAC has a very awful taste and smell so this brand helps mask that so you can enjoy the flavor. Sweetened with Stevia.

  1. Magnesium: The Essential Mineral

Magnesium is vital for various bodily functions, from muscle and nerve function to maintaining a steady heart rhythm. It adds a touch of wellness to your vitamin water.

This is the Magnesium that I use and I use 2 dropper fulls in all my water throughout the day.

  1. Mullen Leaf: The Soothing Herb

Mullen leaf has been traditionally used to soothe respiratory issues. When infused into your vitamin water, it can provide a subtle earthy flavor and potential health benefits.

The one that I recommend and trust me I have tried a few and this one you can actually tell a difference.

Nature’s Elixir: Onion, Garlic, and Honey as a Homemade Cough Syrup

Standard

When the cold season arrives and coughs and colds become all too common, many people turn to the soothing embrace of homemade remedies. One such natural concoction that’s been passed down through generations is the blend of onion, garlic, and honey as a cough syrup. In this blog post, we’ll explore the benefits of these ingredients and how to create this potent elixir right in your kitchen.

The Healing Trinity: Onion, Garlic, and Honey

  1. The Power of Onion:

Onions contain quercetin, a flavonoid with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. These qualities can help reduce inflammation in the respiratory system and provide relief from a nagging cough.

  1. The Mighty Garlic:

Garlic is renowned for its antibacterial and antiviral properties. Allicin, a compound found in garlic, is a potent defender against microbial invaders, making it an ideal candidate for cold and cough relief.

  1. Sweet Soothing Honey:

Honey has been used for centuries for its ability to soothe a sore throat and suppress coughs. Its natural sweetness makes the remedy more palatable and pleasant to consume, especially for children.

Preparing Your Homemade Cough Syrup

Here’s how you can make your own onion, garlic, and honey cough syrup:

Ingredients:

1 medium-sized onion • 4-5 garlic cloves • 2-3 tablespoons of honey

Instructions:

1. Peel and chop the onion and garlic: Finely chop the onion and crush or chop the garlic cloves.

2. Mix with honey: Place the chopped onion and garlic in a glass jar and cover them with honey. Stir well to ensure that the honey coats the onion and garlic thoroughly.

3. Let it sit: Seal the jar and allow the mixture to sit at room temperature for a few hours or overnight. The honey will extract the juices and beneficial compounds from the onion and garlic.

4. Strain and store: After the mixture has infused, strain it to remove the solid pieces. Store the liquid in a clean jar or bottle.

These are the jars that I use https://geni.us/SJEYR2I but, there is many varieties that are available.

Usage:

• Take one to two teaspoons of this homemade cough syrup as needed. It can be consumed by itself or mixed with warm water or herbal tea.

Precautions:

• If you have known allergies to any of these ingredients, avoid using this remedy.

• This homemade syrup should complement, not replace, professional medical advice and treatment. Please consult with a healthcare advisor before replacing any of their recommendations.

Use a good quality honey here is one that I recommend https://geni.us/CTjs69E

Conclusion

Nature has provided us with a wealth of remedies, and the combination of onion, garlic, and honey as a homemade cough syrup is a testament to its healing potential. While it may not be a magical cure-all, it can provide relief from coughs and cold symptoms, all with the comfort of knowing that it’s made from simple, natural ingredients found in your kitchen. So, the next time you’re under the weather, consider giving this age-old remedy a try, and let the soothing powers of onion, garlic, and honey work their magic.
